Legacy Projects were established by Lions Club International in 2018 to challenge Clubs to create a lasting project that would impact their communities for future generations. The Merced Breakfast Lions Club requests applications from community groups who have a need, establishes an amount to be gifted and selects winning projects that will benefit the greater Merced area for years to come. The amounts gifted and frequency of awards is based on fund raising results.
Merced Sports Complex
Members of the Merced Breakfast Lions Club breaking ground on the new bleachers at the Merced Sports Complex. A check for $35,000 was donated to the City of Merced to complete this project. This was made possible by our friends and neighbors’ generous support of our events.
Football Stadium
The Merced Breakfast Lions donated $10,000 to the Merced High Football Stadium Project. Both of the projects are to help improve the community in which we all live.
